Diane Bryant, MS, RN, CWOCN is a certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) nurse with over 30 years of experience specializing in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries. She combines hands-on clinical expertise with a passion for education, research, and advancing best practices in wound care. A frequent presenter and speaker, Diane is dedicated to sharing evidence-based strategies that improve patient outcomes and empower clinicians to deliver safe, effective care. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was honored as a Fellow of the WOCN Society in June of this year.
Kali Dayton DNP, AGACNP is a critical care nurse practitioner, host of the Walking Home From The ICU and Walking You Through The ICU podcasts, and critical care outcomes consultant. She is dedicated to creating Awake and Walking ICUs by ensuring ICU sedation and mobility practices are aligned with current research. She works with ICU teams internationally to transform patient outcomes through early mobility and management of delirium in the ICU.


Elizabeth Faust, MSN, MBA, ANP-BC, CWOCN-AP is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care. A 2009 graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University, she spent 13 years at Tower Health System in roles including CWOCN, system administrative lead, and department head of inpatient wound care under Plastic Surgery at a 700+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center. Formerly an outpatient NP using a physical therapy model, she is passionate about NPWT and pressure injury prevention. She runs Lizzie Wounds, LLC, offering education, product development, and consulting, and co-hosts The Frank & Lizzie Show for wound care clinicians.
Michael F. Kirk, MSN, RN, CNML is an experienced Nurse Director of the Intensive Care Unit with 29 years of dedicated nursing service, combining strong clinical expertise with strategic leadership skills. He has a Masters in Nursing Leadership in health care systems where he developed a deep understanding of healthcare operations, quality improvement, and staff development. In his role, Michael is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and compassionate care. He excels in leading multidisciplinary teams, improving patient outcomes, and implementing evidence-based practices in high-acuity environments. His leadership style emphasizes mentorship, open communication, and empowering nurses to perform at their highest potential.


Laura Swoboda, DNP, APNP, FNP-BC, CWOCN is a translational scientist, family nurse practitioner, and wound specialist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They represent the United States as a diplomat on the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel, serve as treasurer for the AAWC, and on the board of directors for the Save a Leg, Save a Life Foundation. In addition, they actively contribute to committees for the NPIAP, Wound Healing Society, WCCC, Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders, and the American Heart Association’s Peripheral Arterial Disease Collaborative. Deeply committed to health equity, Laura volunteers at local, regional, national, and international levels to improve access to quality healthcare.
Sarah Vance, MSN, RN, CCRN has over 15 years of critical care experience and is passionate about educating and mentoring nurses, especially those new to the ICU. Sarah has an ability to simplify complex concepts and bring a lighthearted touch to an often-intense environment. She shares valuable free open-access medical education on social media. Educational topics cover advanced clinical procedures, patient care techniques, and safety best practices. Sarah sees the nurse holistically, recognizing the emotional and interpersonal aspects in addition to the technical skills and protocols.

Elizabeth Doherty, RN, MSN, CRNP brings a broad range of clinical expertise to her role as Clinical Education Specialist at HoverTech International. Her background spans long-term care, medical-surgical ICU experience at a large academic hospital, emergency and pediatric emergency nursing in a Level I trauma center, and advanced practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. This diverse foundation allows her to connect with healthcare teams across specialties and address their unique challenges in patient care and safety. In addition to her clinical work, Elizabeth is adjunct faculty at DeSales University and is passionate about empowering nurses with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Robert Scroggins, MSN-Ed, RN, CNOR, CSPHA brings over 40 years of military, clinical, and surgical experience to his role at HoverTech International. His career began as a U.S. Army Combat Medic, followed by eight years as an LPN and, since 1993, as a Registered Nurse. He has worked across diverse specialties including med-surg, emergency, ICU, orthopedics, neurology, renal care, and perioperative services, where he spent 25 years in roles ranging from staff nurse to assistant nurse manager, educator, and safety representative. His expertise extends to capital equipment acquisition, safety program leadership, laser and fire safety, and safe patient handling.


Zeke Secaur, RN, RNFA brings over 30 years of medical and surgical expertise to his role as Clinical Specialist for HoverTech International’s government accounts. His career began as a U.S. Navy Corpsman at Bethesda Naval Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in military medicine. After his service, he became a Registered Nurse First Assistant specializing in orthopedics, open-heart, and neurosurgery. Transitioning to the medical device industry, Zeke earned multiple Representative and Regional Director of the Year awards and developed a lasting orthopedic residency program. Today, he applies his military discipline and surgical expertise to advance patient safety and operational efficiency across government healthcare facilities.
Kristen Young, RN brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and communication skills to her role at HoverTech International. She is a multiple-time nominated and award winner of the DAISY Award, recognized for her compassion, clinical skill, and commitment to patient-centered care. Her nursing career includes experience as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse, flight transport nurse, and GI step-down nurse, providing advanced care in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. This diverse background enables her to connect with healthcare teams across specialties and understand the challenges of patient care in both hospital and transport settings. Based in Indianapolis, she is passionate about equipping nurses with the knowledge and resources to provide safe, effective, and dignified care.
